The La Soufriere volcano, in St Vincent erupted wreaking havoc on the lives and livelihood of the residents of St Vincent and the Grenadines.The St. Matthias Charities Inc; has adopted the Evacuation Centre at the Stubbs Government School. This adoption involves providing meals all day as well as personal care items to persons who have been displaced from their homes. Residents from areas most affected by this devastating natural disaster include people from Fancy, Sandy Bay, Owia, and Georgetown include Indigenous women, children and men. The other areas affected are Chateaubelair, Rose Bank,Petit Bordel, Couls Hill, Troumaca and Richmond.
